Midcentury modern co-op lists again in Lafayette Park, now for $89K

Photos via Realtor.com

Lafayette Park has a wide range of choices when it comes to co-ops. Often we see the Mies van der Rohe units go on the market, and lately the more desirable courtyard co-ops have listed for upwards of $600,000. Across the street at 1300 East Lafayette, we’ve seen a variety of co-ops with city and river views list from $100-250,000. But there are more options.

This two bedroom, one bath co-op at Cherboneau Place listed last summer for $85,000. It quickly found a buyer, but the sale fell through. The owner has done some updates to the bathroom, and the unit is listing again, this time for $89,000. It has an open floor plan, storage space, an IKEA kitchen, and gated parking. A similar unit sold for $76,000 last year. It’s located near Eastern Market, the Dequindre Cut, downtown, and the riverfront. Might be a good option for someone looking for a move-in ready place close to everything. Here’s a look around.
