It’s been a while since we’ve seen a good Indian Village house go up for sale. This 1911 home, designed by Albert Kahn for automobile engineer George W. Dunham, is recognizable in its symmetry. The house has been maintained through the years, offers an in-ground pool, and it’s listed for $614,900.

The house is 4,200 square feet, with five bedrooms, four and a half baths, two sunrooms, a wood-paneled den, multiple fireplaces, and a commercial kitchen. The landscaped backyard is lovely, and the home sits on one of the most beautiful streets in Detroit. We’ve seen an odd variety of houses list in Indian Village lately, from an unusual but updated home for $450K, to a more classic IV mansion (also updated) for $850K. This one is priced right in the middle, with some updates and some opportunities for the new owners to make it their own. It’s listed through Real Estate One.
