Welcome to Open Threads, wherein we’ll pass the mic to readers to speak up about topics of interest, distress, horror, and more. Have something you want discussed? Let us know.
A few weeks ago, Wayne County Executive Warren Evans pitched a new transit plan to the Regional Transit Authority—Curbed readers were not impressed. But since we’re talking about regional transit again, and what it could look like across metro Detroit, we’d like to know what your commute is like.
Detroit might not have the traffic congestion other cities have, but there are certain areas that get bottlenecked—especially where freeways meet. Does your commute include a road that’s currently full of potholes (perhaps worse than the usual array of potholes)? Are you constantly stuck in the same places on I-75 or 696? What would improve your commute?
Or, do you have a fairly easy commute? Can you bike to work? Do you take transit? Would you consider transit if you had more options?
Let us know what you think in the comments.
