Usually when we post a renovated home for sale, we only have the after photos. For this new Boston-Edison listing, we unearthed the listing photos from last year. The handsome brick home was purchased about a year ago after the same family had owned it for 70 years. Inside, carpeting and layers of wallpaper covered the floors and walls.

The house has been redone from top to bottom, and it’s now listed for $445,000.

We pulled a few image sliders together to show the difference between the old and the new, with some of the older details still kept in tact. But no worries, the kitchen carpet is long gone.

The brick house has 3,500 square feet, with six bedrooms (including a finished third floor suite), three full and one half baths, a sun room, a handsome fireplace in the living room, and new fixtures and tiling throughout the house. It sits on Chicago Boulevard between Rosa Parks Bouelvard and 14th Street, west of the Lodge. It’s listed through Edge Realty.
