The North End seems to be poised for a rise in prices due to its proximity to New Center, Milwaukee Junction, and even Midtown. The neighborhood is full of great old houses in varying conditions, and still, there’s a lot of vacant land in the neighborhood. We’re often surprised by the listing prices in the neighborhood, but the sale prices hold up. Let’s take a look at a few that have sold in the past year. This duplex (which needed renovations) listed last summer on Horton Street sold quickly for $175,000. This renovated home sold for $145,000. This enormous house on Chandler Street needed all the work in the world, and sold for $125,000.
Today we have a listing on Horton Street, close to both Woodward and East Grand Boulevard. It has been renovated with a new kitchen, new roof, new mechanicals, and refinished floors. It has four bedrooms, two baths, and it’s coming in at 1,700 square feet. The price? $250,000. It’s listed through Denovo Real Estate.
