Royal Oak’s Christmas House lists for $475K

The holiday spirit knows no season, and today we have a house sure to invoke visions of sugarplums, or just real estate curiosity. This Royal Oak house on Washington Avenue boasted festive Christmas decorations outside, and hosted many festive holiday gatherings; the owners say that passers-by would sneak in to the holiday parties. It’s an old farmhouse with a big addition, and it’s listed for $475,000.

The house spans just over 3,600 square feet, with the addition built by a previous owner. Many pieces from Pfeiffer Brewery adorn the house—flooring, light fixtures, fireplace. The current owners have lived in the home for 40 years, and ran a daycare from the house for 28. They also raised eight children here. Their holiday parties would attract upwards of 150 guests. Inside, find five bedrooms, three baths, coffered ceilings, so much wood paneling, a shuffleboard, a pool table, and a hot tub. You won’t see anything like it in the area.
