As part of Ford’s big community celebration and announcement of its Corktown campus, visitors saw a preview of a new documentary on the Motor City. Titled Detroit: Comeback City, the film will premiere on History on July 1 at 9 p.m.

Produced by Big Sean, the documentary talks to many Detroiters about the rise, fall, and comeback of our beloved city. The history and future of Michigan Central Station is shown as a centerpiece of the narrative, as well as Ford’s plans to work on autonomous vehicles in the city.

Expect to see some famous Detroiters in the documentary. Smokey Robinson shows up in the preview. Bill Ford is interviewed extensively, as the film was a collaboration between History and Ford.

The preview will also be shown at Michigan Central Station this weekend during an open house Ford is hosting. Also expect artists and historical exhibits at the old train station this weekend.

Take a sneak peak at the video preview.
