We last saw this house in early 2016, when it listed for sale with some fairly dreary photos. New year, new house! The six-bedroom house has gotten a facelift, and its price reflects recent asks in the neighborhood: $429,900.

The 112-year-old house spans 3,600 square feet over three stories, with so many wood beams on that main floor. Also find hardwood floors, a new kitchen with dizzying back splash, a finished third floor, two full and one half baths, a basement for storage, and a backyard that needs landscaping. This street is full of beautiful old houses, but the asking prices this year have rivaled Boston-Edison. Four homes are currently for sale on this stretch from Woodward to the Lodge, ranging in price from $415,000 up to $564,000. It’s located a few streets up from the Fisher Building, close to the Henry Ford Hospital and Wayne State University, with quick access to the Lodge. We’ve seen many condos selling in New Center this year, but very few single-family homes. This one has the distinction of being zoned both commercial and residential. It’s listed through Arielle Martin at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services | The Loft Warehouse.
