With so many houses being renovated in Detroit these days, we see a lot of similarities when it comes to finishes. We’ll give kudos to the renovators of this house, who opted for paint colors other than soft grey. We even like the back splash in the kitchen, which complements the dark blue walls.

The living spaces in the house are connected by archways and a fireplace and large windows highlight the living room. And the upstairs—with five bedrooms—is carpeted. The house has great curb appeal, accented by an adorable garage/carriage house out back. A more attractive gate in the driveway could only help that curb appeal.

A few houses in the University District have been sitting on the market this summer. This 2,902-square-foot home is priced at $397,500, which might be a little too hopeful right now. Time will tell. It’s listed through Sheel Sohal of Keller Williams Domain.
