Revamped Green Acres bungalow asks $158K

Earlier this week, we looked at five starter homes available around the city. This one would make a great addition to the list. Buyers interested might want to check out the renovation blog posted on J’Adore Detroit—a 20-something woman bought and renovated this house, and documented her journey (the blog covers sketchy HVAC, disappearing workers, Home Depot cards, and more). The house comes in at 1,350 square feet and it’s listed at $158,000.

Inside, you’ll see hardwood floors, a painted fireplace, a dining room with dark walls contrasted with white wainscoting, a light kitchen with subway tiling and an island, two bedrooms, one and a half baths, and a partially finished basement. Outside, there’s a small deck, a fenced yard, and a two-car garage. It sits in the northern part of Green Acres, close to Ferndale, the shops along Livernois, Palmer Park, and the University District. It’s a great house in a stable neighborhood and it’s listed through Tandra Freeman at KW Metro.
