Welcome to this week’s installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at rentals within $100 of today’s price: $850.

3478 Bedford Street

We’re starting on the far east side of the city with this recently renovated three-bedroom upper flat. This apartment has hardwood floors, a faux fireplace surrounded with built-ins in the living room, one bathroom, and off-street parking. It’s located in Morningside just off of Mack Avenue, across from Grosse Pointe, and close to a lot of shopping. It’s listed for $780 per month plus utilities.

8100 East Jefferson

Along East Jefferson, our price range can snag a one-bedroom apartment at Alden Towers. This large apartment complex has off-street parking, a fitness room, a courtyard, and some updated units. A 680-square-foot unit comes in at $900. Wifi is included and the towers are located along the riverfront, across from Belle Isle, and about three miles outside of downtown.

666 Parker

$775 per month can get a “junior” one-bedroom, newly renovated apartment at the Parker House. Rent includes heat, water, and wifi, plus pets are allowed. It’s close to the shops and restaurants in West Village, and a short walk or bike ride to Belle Isle.

1511 1st Street

On the west side of downtown, the Town Residences have studios in our price range. These have been updated in the past couple years, cats are allowed, and there’s a fitness center in the building. It’s close to downtown and Corktown amenities. Depending on size, studios can range from $725-905 per month.

403 Marston

In the North End, we unfortunately don’t have a lot of photos, but this three-bedroom house certainly has a lot of space at 1,938 square feet. It has a big front porch, hardwood floors, and it’s located right in the middle of the neighborhood, near New Center, the arts district, and Boston-Edison. It’s listed for $950 per month.
