We recently compared five Boston-Edison homes for sale; some were flipped while others needed some restoration work. At this point, a smaller house that was move-in ready and recently renovated is winning among the votes. This new listing is lived in, has not fallen in the hands of someone who wants to update everything, and it’s loaded with fireplaces. The house is coming in at over 4,200 square feet, and it’s listing for $449,000.

This brick house has an elegant staircase, five fireplaces, a library with built-ins, a formal dining room and seating in the kitchen, two full and two half baths, a finished third floor, hardwood floors, and room to entertain in the backyard. It also has a garage in the back, plus a stately front porch. The house looks like it has changed hands a few times in the last ten years; perhaps it can find a new long-term owner this time? It sits on the west side of Boston Boulevard, near 14th Street, and it’s listed through Lauren Bruyninga at O’Connor Real Estate.
