In early 2017, we featured a handsome Sherwood Forest home that needed extensive rehab, and was only listed for $90,000. Readers thought the price was too low, and the house was in reasonable condition comparatively. It sold for $120,000, has gone through a total renovation, and is now back on the market for $329,000.
The owner provided Curbed with a few side-by-side before and after comparisons, so we can see a few of the bigger transformations. In the earlier piece, we saw some damage in the dining room, but this photo gives us a better idea of the ceiling issues they were working with.
We also see a sun room once dark, and now appropriately bright.

The small breakfast nook was a complete rebuild.
In total, the house has four bedrooms and four baths, and now has complete mechanical upgrades and a new kitchen, a new roof, and A/C. Outdoor space includes a second floor balcony plus a lovely patio. Many original details remain including archways connecting the living areas, Pewabic tiling on the fireplace, and built-ins. Here’s a look around this revamped home.
