New, 3 comments

From New Center to West Village

Welcome to this week’s installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at rentals within $100 of today’s price: $1,050.

Coming in right at this week’s price point is a one-bedroom, one-bath apartment at the Fisher-Kahn Apartments in New Center. They have nice hardwood floors, newer kitchens, and balconies. Rent is $1,050, and a gated parking space runs an extra $50 per month.

In West Village, here’s a two-bedroom upper unit coming in at $1,000 per month, plus utilities. Pets are allowed, and it’s walking distance to many businesses and close to Belle Isle.

In Brush Park, this week’s price range can get a one-bedroom at the Scott. These newer apartments have a pool, community room, and fitness center. They’re located close to the arenas and downtown. Rent starts at $1,084 per month.

If downsizing is your thing, these micro-apartments at 28 Grand come in at just 300 square feet. No need for furniture—it’s included. These tiny abodes are right downtown in Capitol Park, and start at $950 per month.

Close to the Detroit Institute of Arts in Midtown is a one-bedroom, one-bath apartment for $1,100 per month. It has hardwood floors, A/C, and gated parking.
