See what you can get in neighborhoods like Midtown, Art Center, and Rivertown

Welcome to this week’s installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at rentals at or around $1,500.

Via Zillow
West Village

A 1,500-square-foot home on Beals Street near the West Village is renting for $1,550 per month. The three-bedroom, one-and-a-half bath home has a modernized, well-furnished interior with new stainless appliances, Nest thermostat, refinished hardwood floors, and more. It’s slightly north of West Vernor but still easily within walking distance of the shops on Kercheval Avenue and Agnes Street.

NW Goldberg/Woodbridge

A 1,975-square-foot loft between Northwest Goldberg and Woodbridge is renting for $1,550 per month. The one-bedroom unit is in the Research Lofts on Trumbull Avenue. The redeveloped industrial warehouse has a lot of exposed brick and piping with an open floor plan and unique spiral staircase up to the second story. Pets are allowed.

Rivertown

A 661-square-foot, one-bedroom unit in Orleans Landing is renting for $1,550. These newer apartments near the riverfront feature granite counter tops, plank wood flooring, and modern cabinetry. The building comes with access to a fitness center, outdoor firepit, swimming pool, gated parking, and more.

Art Center

A 1,361-square-foot townhome on Saint Antoine Street is renting for $1,425 per month. This three-bedroom unit in the Palmer Court has a fairly plain brick and stone exterior, and the finishes are not of the highest quality. But if you’re looking for a great deal, this spacious rental easily has the best price per square foot on the list.

Midtown

A 850-square-foot unit in a duplex on Prentis Street is renting for $1,500 per month. This two-bedroom apartment has been recently updated and features refinished floors and kitchen countertops. There’s also a tiny, private deck at the back of the unit. Comes with parking for two cars.
