Welcome to this week’s installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at rentals within $100 of today’s price: $1,400.

This week’s rent comparison starts along the Riverfront across from Belle Isle. This two-bedroom unit has river views and secure parking. Heat and water are included in the $1,400 per month rent.

A two-bedroom townhouse in Hyde Park falls into this week’s price range at $1,350 per month. Gated parking is included, and the apartments are near Belle Isle, the Dequindre Cut, the Riverfront, and Eastern Market.

The Hamilton in Midtown underwent an extensive renovation last year. Amenities in this pet-friendly building include a dog-washing station, laundry, a fitness center, and a restored community room. Rents for available one bedroom apartments start at $1,415 a month.

Riverfront Towers has two apartments available in our range, at $1,350 and $1,450. The towers have a fitness room and a pool, plus a private outdoor space. It’s close to both Corktown and downtown.

This two bedroom, one bath flat is just west of the Lodge near the Henry Ford Hospital in the Virginia Park neighborhood. It’s been recently refinished, and includes extra storage space plus a washer and dryer in the basement. It’s renting for $1,400.
