Check out that lovely facade

A great home just listed in one of the hottest residential markets in Detroit: University District.

This one’s got all the classic markings of a 1930s Tudor: brick exterior, bay windows, stone accents, stained glass. There front and back yards have some tasteful landscaping and a two-car detached garage.

Inside, the owner—who bought the house in 2009 for $65,000 when few others were purchasing homes—made some splashy color choices (turquoise, chartreuse). But those can easily be changed to fit your own tastes.

Overall, the house seems well maintained. The hardwood floors, oak panelling in the reading room, crown molding, trim, fireplace mantel, and bathroom tiles are in great shape.

The kitchen has an interesting configuration and new owners might want to update it. The stove and oven are right next to the pass through that leads to a tight-fitting kitchen table with a laminate countertop. The angled ceiling has some impressive stucco work, though.

The basement has a wet bar and room for entertaining, and there’s a fully-furnished “in-laws” room on the third-floor with a private bathroom.

This five-bedroom, four-bath, 3,432-square-foot home can be yours for $349,000. It’s listed by Catina Willis through Next Level Realty.
