This three-building property could accommodate a variety of uses

Looking for a flexible space to run a nontraditional commercial or industrial operation? And also live on site? Well, this wild complex near Islandview just listed for sale.

There are three buildings on the property, totaling 8,500 square feet. The main industrial building, which is 6,000 square feet, has an open floor plan that can accommodate a variety of operations, such as a makerspace, artist studio, or screen printing business.

Two houses also come with the property. One has a newly-built and colorful greenhouse that looks like it could be converted into a storefront. In the middle of the complex is a 4,000-square-foot concrete slab courtyard with steel beams.

The whole complex is zoned M2 (restricted industrial district), which also allows for commercial uses and conversion of existing buildings into residential. In other words, there’s a lot of flexibility regarding use.

According to the realtor, the property was vacant for many years before being bought and fixed up by artists, who currently occupy one of the residences. But it’s also clear a lot of work will still need to be done.

1356 Mount Elliott Street is listed through O’Connor Realty for $499,900.
