In New Baltimore just off Lake Saint Clair, fans of historic architecture have a unique chance to purchase one of the older homes in the region. It’s listed through Sotheby’s International Realty for $519,900.

Built in 1886, there’s sumptuous details in every room of this Colonial estate which, according to the realtor, has only had three owners in its entire 133 year history. It sits on 1.26 acres of land that connects it to the riverfront.

The brick exterior only has a moderate amount of discoloration, though the pediments and wood accents look like they need a paint job. A new roof was recently installed.

Inside the 18-room home, there’s wide wooden doors, granite fireplaces imported from Italy, eye-catching wallpaper, stucco ceilings with decorative medallions, and etched-glass windows. There’s so much more worth mentioning, so be sure to check out the photos and listing.

The kitchen did get an update and has some modern amenities, but everything else in the home feels like it came straight from the late 1800s. We think it could make a great bed and breakfast.
