Welcome to this week’s installment of Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can buy for a certain dollar amount in various Detroit neighborhoods. This week we’re looking at sales at or around $125,000.
A renovated, 1,848-square-foot home in Martin Park recently listed by Realtor Ian Mason for $124,900. Everything here is new: kitchen, bathrooms, hardwood floors (either replaced or refinished), roof, plumbing, and more. There was also a neutral paint job so it will be easy to color to your aesthetic.
A three-bedroom, 1,155-square-foot bungalow in Hamtramck just listed for $119,900. It may not be the most inspiring home ever, but like so many homes in the enclave city, it’s a very livable place. There’s big entryways between the various rooms, some nice hardwood floors in the updated kitchen, and a fully-functional second floor.
A beautiful brick home with some Tudor flourishes in Grandmont-Rosedale just listed for $130,500. There’s a lot to like about this 1,514-square-foot home, from the sharp incline of the roof to the spacious deck and yard in the back. The kitchen looks recently updated, and the wood floors, molding, brick fireplace—really everything—seems to be in great shape.
A three-bedroom 1,488-square-foot home in Islandview just listed for $129,000. Much like the one in Hamtramck, it’s not the most inspired home ever. But overall it’s a solid, move-in ready space with updated granite kitchen countertops, bathrooms, hardwood floors, plumbing, windows, and more.
A great brick home in Bagley just got a big price cut and is now listed for $120,500. The three-bedroom, 1,344-square-foot home has been fully updated with new kitchen (and eye-catching backsplash), refinished hardwood floors, new appliances, and more. There’s also some nice molding and ceiling medallions.
