This home from 1926 is in great shape

We love everything about Tudor homes and Sherwood Forest, the historic district on the north side of Detroit. Well, this home on Cambridge Avenue is a perfect example of what each has to offer.

It’s listed through Rivers Realty Group for $485,000.

The 3,500-square-foot home was built in 1926 but seems to be in impeccable shape. The roof looks new, and there’s little to no discoloration on the bricks or stone. Speaking of which, we love the elegant double stone archway leading to a front door with leaded glass.

The inside is just as nice. There’s stucco walls and ceilings, details in the crown molding, and some nice pieces of hardware, especially the stained glass fixture in the foyer. Most of the floors are hardwood.

The kitchen might need some updating, as there’s an electric range built into the countertop and an outdated oven. But we do like the older wood cabinets.

We always have a soft spot for sunrooms and this one seems quite cozy. There’s also four bedrooms, a finished basement, and a two-car detached garage.

Kitchen with wood cabinets and bright wood-like floors. There’s also older silver appliances.
