There’s a lot to like about a loft along the river that just hit the market.

The unit is in the Lofts at Rivertown, one of 48 at the redeveloped Stearns Pharmaceutical Building, built in 1899 (with an addition by Albert Kahn from 1910). The attractive brick building with its industrial windows has both style and history. And this particular 1,205-square-foot unit is one of only a handful that has both two stories and a private deck.

Right inside the front entrance, there’s a metal spiral staircase that leads to a flex room just outside the deck. The second-floor master bedroom has a walk-in closet and in-suite bathroom with glass-block wall.

The main, high-ceilinged area has a kitchen with stainless steel countertops, carpeted living room, and a second full bathroom. A wooden ladder gives access to a lofted storage space. There’s also plenty of exposed brick, piping, metal and wood framing, and other features emblematic of a loft.

On-site amenities include a pool, fitness center, landscaping, two parking spaces, and even a video intercom system. HOA fees are $450 per month.

6533 E. Jefferson Avenue #417 is listed with Adam Soroka of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices The Loft Warehouse for $290,000.

A simple carpeted bedroom with small vanity table and bed with floral sheets.
A bathroom with glass-block shower wall.
A view from the deck. You can see a river which leads to a downtown with skyscrapers. It’s a gray day with no leaves on the trees.
