Welcome to this week’s edition of Curbed Comparisons. We found rentals in the $1,200 range across the city. Loft? Apartment? House? Which would you choose?
This week in strange Detroit real estate news, we present this overpriced 6,000+ square-foot Indian Village mansion that has been empty for nearly a decade.
Built in 1927, this three bedroom, five bath home comes in at about 2,500 square feet - not too big, not too small for a house in this historic neighborhood.
Famous architect Albert Kahn designed this Indian Village single-family home in 1909. Over the past few years, it's been on and off the market, selling for $474,009 in 2013 and then $363,000 in 2015.
The annual home tour, taking place June 11 & 12, will celebrate the effort to restore the neighborhood streetlights, a project that's been selected to receive the 2016 Governor's Award for Historic Preservation.
